An idiom is a group of words, or in other words, a phrase that has a meaning other than its literal meaning of the words in it.
Idiom:
rob the cradle
Meaning:
to marry a person much younger than oneself
Example:
Everybody said that my boss was robbing the cradle when he married the young woman at our company.
