An idiom is a type of phrase or expression that has a meaning that can't be deciphered by defining the individual words.


Idiom:
somewhere in the neighborhood of (an amount of money or something)

Meaning:
approximately a particular measurement or amount

Example:
There were somewhere in the neighborhood of fifty people at the meeting.
