Idioms
An idiom is a group of words, or in other words, a phrase that has a meaning different from the literal meaning of the words in it.
Idiom:
take (someone) under one's wing/wings
Meaning:
to protect and help someone
Example:
The supervisor took the new employee under his wing and began to teach him about the company.
