Idioms
An idiom is a group of words, or in other words, a phrase that has a meaning other than its literal meaning of the words in it.
Idiom:
words to that effect
Meaning:
something similar to what was just said
Example:
The apartment manager said that we could not bring a bicycle into the apartment lobby or words to that effect.
