Phrasal Verb


A phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or adverb or both and that functions as a verb whose meaning is different from the combined meanings of the individual words


Phrasal Verb:
blot something out

Meaning:
to make something invisible by covering it. (See also blot someone or something out.)

Example:
Don't blot the name out on the application form.
