A phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or adverb or both and that functions as a verb whose meaning is different from the combined meanings of the individual words

buy something back (from someone)

Meaning:
to repurchase something that one has previously sold from the person who bought it.

Example:
Can I buy it back from you? I have decided I need it.
