Phrasal Verb


Phrasal verbs are two or more words that come together to give us a new verb with a different meaning from the original words.


Phrasal Verb:
hike something up

Meaning:
to raise something, such as prices, interest rates, a skirt, pants legs, etc.

Example:
The grocery store is always hiking prices up.
