Phrasal Verb


A group of words which have a different meaning when used together from the one they would have if you took the meaning of each word separately.


Phrasal Verb:
plane something away

Meaning:
to smooth off bumps or irregularities with a plane.

Example:
Please plane the bumps away so that the board is perfectly smooth.
