Phrasal Verb


A group of words which have a different meaning when used together from the one they would have if you took the meaning of each word separately.


Phrasal Verb:
play something through

Meaning:
to play something, such as a piece of recorded music, all the way through.

Example:
I played the album through, hoping to find even one song I liked.
